Cover Your 6 Shooting provides high-quality firearms and security guard training focused on building a strong, knowledge-based foundation in core shooting fundamentals and advanced techniques. Our programs are designed to be adaptable to all skill levels—whether you're new to firearms or refining an experienced skillset.

Our mission is to make students safer, more proficient, and consistently accurate and efficient in real-world and professional environments. We emphasize principle-based learning and offer a progression of skills that support both personal defense and occupational readiness.

Kyle Thompson - Co Owner | Lead Firearms Instructor

Kyle brings over a decade in experience from both Military contracting and Law enforcement to the table. Starting back in 2005 as a small arms Firearms Instructor. From there, being contracted as Federal Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor. He’s also a Florida State K Licensed certified and a certified NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor. Bringing that knowledge into the private sector, Cover your 6 shooting was started to do what Kyle and his wife Ana truly love, helping people protect themselves and their families from violent encounters. Cover your 6 shooting is based out of Central Florida but travels nation wide to provide training.

Ana Thompson - Co Owner | Lead Firearms Instructor

Ana also brings more than a decade of experience from Law Enforcement, Federal Armed Security and Detention/Corrections. She is extremely knowledgeable and will be doing many classes to make sure women in Central Florida can take care of themselves and their families.
